As a girl I feel so bad, having your menstruation unexpectedly, no less in an event unprepared is embarrassing, enough to make someone stay home for months hoping it gets forgotten :( and back then they weren't too good at dealing with it. I believe there was a rocking horse looking chair that was hollow to hold the blood so they had to sit over it. It just overall sucks

I don't know about any other regions but where I live if women have early that time of the month and has blood on her dress usually someone points it out quietly and lends her something to hide. Those who see the incident don't touch that topic at all since to a woman it's a shame to be exposed of her secret. It's not the woman's fault.
