      it definitely is. Not the revenge where they have to put another loss in the story to "spice" things up, nor some happy go lucky forgiveness bullshit. Just pure unadulterated anger and vengeance.

        It's good but most revenge story are not this "soft" there is rape involved, gore, torture, and many other things, Korean/ manhwa have "soft" story plots, and don't include these but mangas are different, they portrait realistic plot while inflicting the most dmg to mc first for him to become ruthless and carry out his revenge without any emotion effecting him

            The Strongest Brave Who Craves For Revenge, Extinguish With The Power Of Darkness (has a long ass name but this work too) jujika no rokunin, the textbook of revenge(it's only 14 ch only yet) Maria no danzai and beserk(obviously it's the peak of the peak) and in manhwa there is guard pass, and devil returns to school days, there is also the story which is in same universe as this one called how to fight, I didn't read that one yet and the mc in this manga is the coach of the mc of juvenile offender. You can check authors related work to know more

            RiceBread I'll agree that the sword isn't the best sword, but having a "handle" above the guard does happen sometimes. It is pretty much a Greatsword (zweihander, claymore, etc) with a wrapped ricasso (unsharpened base of blade near guard). Although useless, it was meant for aesthetical reasons.

            In the first place, if we talk about realism then any sword of that girth would be an awful sword.it would be too heavy, misshapen (large center, can't cut cleanly), and poorly designed (blade went from ~6 inch base of blade to fragile rapier tip) to use.

            Also this is likely going to be a 1 handed sword. MC is dragon rider and has manhwa strength.
