GhetoknightEXACTLY, it's like it's written as if they're equals but when it comes to anything of any substance, fanservice in the form of romance, ecchi, or cut einteractions, it's just so unequivocally one sided
even when he gets a W it's something really shallow, it's like she can throw 10 punches in the form of paralysis, rape, torture etc and the only response the author allows him to even contemplate is *checking the list* whining and a light tease that she also gets to beat him up for
like it's so bull man, a dragon slayer with no balls, pun intended

because like the pettiness is so forced, like being as wtf was it called, not passive aggre4ssive like malicious compliance? I can see it working out well for a romance-comedy, but it's played off as if it's fueled by his hate except none of the other things he does seems to align with his alignment, and conveniently there's somehow nothing he can do to retaliate properly
I mean if I was rape d, enslaved and babytrapped by a species I spent my life learniing how to fight, least I would do i stry to fight back, but we're meant ot believe this guy gets knocked out for like 2 days from one flushed swing of he rtail, in human form? That feels like such bs. The roles are wack the dynamic is either forced or nonexistant, the romance is just a weird gag that they make clear isnt going anywhere despite writing as if it totally could, it feels like this could totally be a banger but I read it and am left unsatisfied every chapter
GhetoknightThe main issue is it's not really written that way, ,obviously I don't expect a super serious toned story but every little thing feels like it's played off as a comedy, the mother father dynamic (irrelevant to whether they hat eeach other) feels like it is faulty and failing from any aspect, bias or interesting angle you look at it (enemies to lovers, some sort of duo tsundere stuff, putting aside differences for the children, etc etc) and while the kids are cute it feels like somehow them being in a scene completely sidelines everything else, I mean th emain character feels like a wet rag of wet ragsm like a "I'll let this happen to me" kind of guy but is written like a "I totally ddisagree with this!" and while I sort of don't mind ho wthe dragon queen is written it feels like such a waste in this story because it isn't used for anything more, idfk how to explain it but it's like edging me man
