decade stand for 10 years, you can find the "dec" at the beginning of other words like deciliter (1dL=1/10 L), decimeter(1dm=1/10m) you can see the link between this prefix and the number 10.
century stand for 100 years, we have words commonly used like centiliter(1cL= 1/100L), centigram (1cg=1/100g),etc there is a link between this prefix and the number 100.
I bet you know what I am gonna write here, yes millenium stands for 1000 years, we have words like milliliter, milligram, etc.

Btw what do you think woud have been the point of a word meaning 10,000 years? on the scale of human civilisation and culture it is a unit that is too big to the point that it is useless: there arent any countries that have a history that long still existing on earth. And on the scale of the existence of humans, other species or planets, it is an unit that is so small that it is also useless to create a word for it.
We can very well say 1,000 years or 10,000 years like you would say 千年 or 万年. People who created words arent stupid. I felt very insulted that you considered english to be such a stupid language. poor me.
