Not only did he tell her the deal of getting him to stay helping them but he also educated her about how the world was. She was bound to be preyed upon with the attitude she had.
The Sheep LordaNot really...I mean, I feel it would be if that's what he wanted from her from the get-go. But it wasn't. He honestly wanted to help them at first, but when she asked him to do more, he then decided that helping them was a pain and wanted to be compensated for it. The mc didn't have malicious intent, he was just telling it how it was. Hopefully, your current SO has decent survival skills or knows not to rely too much on random acts of kindness from strangers. I feel kinda bad for the girl, but the fact she ran into the mc instead of a gang of murders and rapist is a win in my book. She gets to learn from this situation and only has to pay the price of her body.
This is an end-of-the-world scenario. Morals and good will don't work in a world where you'll end up dead from sickness because you scratched yourself while you slept. Medicine, electricity, stable leaving are all out of the window. When push comes to shove, the ones who survive won't be guys like me or you (I think).

Ballsdeep69It's always a little weird that regardless where the comic comes from the default holy symbol to fight demons is a Cross. Like if you get specific types of demons you might get a different type of holy symbol but whenever you see a generic demon getting fought in a story (unless it's a martial art story with Buddhists that can fist fight them) it's like Jesus is the generic brand pesticide for demons.
