I interpreted the situation differently. His speech was to save himself from losing control and indulge in a one night stand, betraying his crush. I saw it as a lack of conviction in his beliefs. Although he wanted to stay true to feelings for the fmc, he also didn't want or found it too difficult to remove the attractive woman straddling him on his own.
Guy just lets himself be thrown onto the bed and mounted. Imagine if the genders were flipped, a woman would definitely fight back, but the MC doesn't even try. Not realistic behavior at all.
He makes a tearful confession instead, which makes her lose interest in him.
Had he thrown her off and followed with his speech, then I would respect him more.
His behavior was typical of the weak JP mc, which bothered me due to it's prevalence in manga. Which is why I compared him to a little boy.
But asking why you were offended doesn't translate into "you can't share your opinion". I was implying your deleted comment might be an overreaction towards a stranger with a different opinion.
