Weedle_UnderwoodYeah, His dad did say it was his own fault. I suspected cheating as well. But as for the interviewing... You didn't read page 16 explaining the suspected reason the word interveiw was used by the author. Mendan is Interview or meeting but in a formal sense, not one you would use for meeting family but for a job or something else like that. My guess would be that dad is going to formally introduce the mc to his "partner" as that is feels like it might fit the mold for why used this word in particular. I do not envy translators needing to figure this stuff out man XD
