MeringueWell, there’s certainly a lot more planning and preparation at the beginning because the party was still weak, so they had to be extra careful and find ways to compensate for their lack of strength. But now that they’ve leveled up and gotten so much stronger, they can afford to go all-in when needed. To me, it’s simply a natural development and a change of pace. I’m more than certain they’ll go back to focusing more on planning and strategising once stronger enemies that they cannot take head-on show up.
Also, it’s unfortunate that you don’t enjoy the fights in this manga. I think they’re really good. They’re well-drawn with plenty of impactful and dynamic angles, and the paneling work connects the flow of the fights quite well, too. My few gripes so far are things like how they shove in fan service too soon after serious or tragic moments.😅
NoroiBig, BIG spoilers : Regis is the "weapon" that sprouts from the acclorite and he reveals in an argument that if he hadn't absorbed the vast majority of Uto's horn's mana Arthur would have basically been corrupted and maddened by it because he's not equipped to absorb decay mana. Also these horns are why Regis has Uto's personality traits.

AnonymooseI feel like it's more likely that when he has more power he'll either do as you mentioned and form an independent force in the Americas thatkeeps out opressive outsiders, or supports the imperial princess in claiming the throne and then gets policies changed.
