It's technically chrome, since google is the one developing chromium (https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src) and implements chrome stuff into it, after they've tested it in chrome. There are many different variations of open source, but just because it is open source doesn't mean there can't be one main developer (someone who approves commits).



Not all browsers are chromium browsers (there's chromezilla Firefox/Gecko browsers, and Pre-chromium Web Kit browsers, and Goanna browsers), though there are a lot of chromium browsers yes. Some aren't even open source. Opera isn't open source. It's actually CCP spyware..
