I feel like it's completely unnatural. The spirit succession is having the shaman pass on one of their essences, which always ends in death. From the name and results, it seems as if part of their soul is being stripped away and places into someone else. Essences can be destroyed, to pass one on, usually meant the origin owner died. Also it's a process that can instantly kill a barbarian with their high vitality? So it just seems to me, deleting an essence would be just cutting it out. But to preserve it to pass on, means taking part of your soul with it ...soul essence. The tattoos is already painful but I feel like this is several times more painful, otherwiss it seems like it would a more common way for the elderly to pass on and would be more known
