Bladeheart is very smart and he's right, secret identity means nothing to an influential family. even if they don't find his identity, they'll set up "Note" as a criminal and expel him from the guild(cuz they have that kind of pull) also his brother could be a problem(since we don't know how powerful he is) the can also hire the most powerful adventurers to hunt down note.
even if he just stops being "Note" that makes no difference. firstly he'll lose all the progress and fame he made as note in the guild, secondly if he signs up again with the guild or the school with his unique powers it's very easy to find out he's "Note" unless he's going to hide his powers forever!!(think about it, powerful kid the same age and height of note signs up with the school or the guild, that kind of thing will get a lot of attention and people will easily put 2 and 2 together!)
and if he even manages to wipe out all of his family, the situation will become even worst!!!! that kind of action will gather so much negative attention towards Note and even the royal family might get involved which is the worst thing for him! think about it. one adventurer wipes out an influential family every other noble family and powerful adventurer families will want to do something about it!
