Went back a few chapters just in case I misremembered but there are 0 mentions and also 0 implications that someone other than philip or ray bet on ray winning the duel. So unless we just weren't informed about them betting against kedric winning, that coin is already more money than baldy and noshirt are supposed to get from that duel...

Truthfully, it sounds like you’re speaking from a place of hurt. I don’t know if you’ve been cheated on before, but it happens. I have too, and people heal in different ways.

But let’s focus on this situation. You’re saying Reina manipulated Yuuta into having this conversation—only for her to confirm his suspicions, and then he walked away. Either way, she still lost.

Yuuta was already moving on. He wasn’t looking to get back with her. He wasn’t even trying to have a conversation with her. In fact, before this moment, he had already accepted that she used to be important to him. Talking to her didn’t change that.

You’re faulting him for seeking closure, but after constantly hearing from Natsuki and Reina that he misunderstood the situation, it’s only natural for doubts to creep in. If people keep insisting that you got something wrong, at some point, you start to wonder. That’s human nature. So when he finally heard Reina out, she didn’t deny it—she just confirmed what he already suspected. And then he left.

He wasn’t chasing after her, hoping to rekindle anything. He was ambushed on the street, something completely out of his control. Sure, he could’ve walked away, but ignoring her forever wasn’t realistic. When someone is repeatedly thrown into your path, a conversation is bound to happen sooner or later.

Yeah, he gave her the chance to explain, and she messed it up again. He got his closure and left. Blaming him for that doesn’t make sense.

If Reina really wanted to manipulate him further, she could’ve just lied. Instead, she told the truth. Maybe she didn’t want to hurt him, but at the end of the day, it didn’t change the outcome. She still lost him.

Yuuta walked away, more disappointed than before, and he’s still trying to move on.

I just don’t see us agreeing on this. I disagree, simple as that.

Dude, it's not disrespectful to simply ignore someone that is clearly trying to gaslight you. It's basic self defense in the social arena. Calling it disrespectful is inaccurate to the point of being a form of manipulation that does not warrant respect.

The default tools of cheaters are lies and gaslighting, so giving them the time of day after getting caught is always a waste.

So damn right I am going to fault anyone giving a cheater time that they have already proved unworthy of.

Edit: and there is a further consequence being slow revealed in the end panels - by giving her the time of day, he has given her an opportunity to latch onto his current social circle and try poisoning the well. Or at least, he made it easier for her to try that, which she has not earned either.
