    A yandere usually has some common sense and tends to only kill or threaten people if they get close to their "loved one" so they have some standards. Plus they wouldn't want to do something that would make their loved one hate them

    I think it's because there is a difference between a character who is willing to slaughter a village to kidnap someone in the name of God and a character who is willing to kill a person because they love someone...
    
    Probably also because people would rather want a lover than follow religion but idk...
