this depends on what's in the world walkthrough. Like a sword that can slice through anything is better than a skill for low swordsmanship. You can learn swordsmanship at low level easily, however "sword aura takes years to develop" (general truth in fantasy). Exp increase % of any amount will almost always trump any knowledge Like in this novel, if he received these skills, he could make money just by selling monster by-products and then buy the stuff out in the world he doesn't know about. Damn, ruined in the second chapter for me. It was looking so good and promising but the skill stuff is so dumb. It really doesn't make any sense for it to be there. They literally said since he was already able to become strong he should do it again, but then they give him the skills like "nah just make him op and let him speed run. Just let him have all the skills anyways".
Training will always be better than just magic skills, but there is a way to make those skills work, like solo leveling although I've been getting bored with that too. This didn't do it good tho, it made it seem like he was going have to train again to get strong, but then skills happened.
The skills he has now are just the starter pack skills to help him get off his feet. Over time he will develop new skills through training & combat experience. Remember MC is a vet on new game +

yeah its like that in a lot of stuff where mc never trains or has much challenge its just an illusion of challenge but mc in next chapter is like ez I knew what to do all along or some other cringe line

I know, i was just hoping it was going to be more training focused instead of cheat ability. I just find Cheat abilities to be boring most of the time.
That is true, i enjoy those as well. Probably the best example of what i mean is The Tutorial is too hard. He starts at the lowest of the low and literally suffering and over time becomes so OP that nobody can go against him. I love those, where you can see the MC struggle and get better over time and eventually become OP.

My personal opinion is that the author added skills for the mc is because, the gods of that world wanted a different ending for the mc, so they added strong skills or buffs to rapidly increase his power to match the god of which he fought in the previous chapter. all this talk about getting revenge on the demon god and saving ur girl. but no talk about getting the gods who sent you back in time because they, "wanted something more interesting?" if I were him when that hag told me that, i would have automatically refused and requested to be sent to the underworld, i don't even care if it sucks, im not about to be a gods play thing.
The gods union is obviously stronger than demon god. So first beat demon then beat gods. If he doesnt take this opportunity, he cant have a chance to save his loved ones

It's not that he doesn't, it's just that there isn't any point in doing so. Think about it, do you care about all the people you haven't even met dying right at this very second? It's like that. It isn't about what you can, it's about what you want to do. Just because you have power doesn't mean you have to save people, you know? Not everyone has that kind of hero mindset.
Think about it..he can cultivate his comrade to have the same power as the demon god or even beyond it..The drag the entire pantheon to dust just like memorize
If you've followed the first chapter, the MC died and because of a couple gods (especially the Demon God), he was sent back in time. His memories then would be in the 10-20 years he'd been before he died (he mentions it's been about 10-20 years), and so that image of Altair dying is something that's happened at one point.
