Licht ability is just insane, pretty much it's make life expendable with no cost

    Ok but if money is his motivation for staying w the kingdom what's stopping him for moving to diff kingdoms same goes w anything if one can provide more than the other most ppl would usually take the side w bigger benefits

    It's a matter of weighing the most possible outcome. If the king were confidant he could have hid Lich's ability, he would have swayed Lich to his side (or worst case abducted him and enslaved him with drugs).
    
    But in the kings mind, he couldn't guarantee he could hide his ability. Not with at least three adventures and an unknown number of administration who were informed of Lich's ability. So, he chose death... which ironically, is what's gonna happen to him and his kingdom when Aria and Lich start a war against them.

    For a world as a whole licht existence is just the worse, to get licht every nation will starts war and there is no stopping point because if they get licht anyone who died 8n war can be revive, resources will keep depleted while the people won't decrease cuz of licht
