I mean, honestly good on mc for running out in that situation. That did not seem like the approach of a healthy person for a sound relationship. Seemed more like someone who isn't ready to date reaching out, which wouldn't have ended well for either of them.

This chapter disappointed me on multiple levels. First, when Riri asked Hiromi about what happened between him and his ex, all he could do was say nice things about her. He didn’t explain what really went down, like how he overheard her admitting she was using him because it was easier to manipulate him than the other guy, who wasn’t falling for her games. That’s exactly what it was—she used him.

Then, to top it off, Anju tries to make a move on him, and this guy runs like a track star. He moved so fast, I thought he was Barry Allen from Season 1 of The Flash. I’m honestly so disappointed, bro. I get that there’s a house rule or whatever, but the main character is just too soft at this point. I understand he wants a family, and for the most part, I’m on his side, but moments like this? They’re frustrating.

You mean to tell me he can chase after his ex like nothing happened—after she kicked him out, cheated on him, and admitted to using him—and then break up with her, only to come back and have five women interested in him, and he doesn’t make a single move? He’d rather run away. I don’t know, man. This chapter could’ve been a real breakthrough for him, but we didn’t get that.

Maybe it’s a cultural thing. I understand that Japanese people often engage in circumlocution when discussing their feelings and aren’t always direct, but I expected more in this situation. I thought Hiromi would have a significant breakthrough with one of the girls, and while he is talking to Riri, am I the only one who thinks she looks like his ex—just with white hair? Maybe it’s just me.

Overall, I’m really disappointed with this chapter. It felt like it should’ve had more impact, especially after the last one where we saw him breaking down in tears on the patio after finding out his ex was using him. Yeah, he was dumb for going back to her after she dumped him for another guy, but at least he found out the truth and could move on. Now, it feels like he’s just repeating the same mistake, and it’s hard to believe any guy would be speaking highly of his ex in that moment.
