you are correct, its very unlikely, that this will get an anime, since its not from shueisha(shounen jump)
kodansha is like DC, while shueisha is like marvel.
kodansha rarely ever gets an anime adaptation, unless its super super popular on its own(like attack on titan or batman) however they don't have the same unity that shounen jump has, each kodansha series is usually popular on its own or obscure, making it a lot harder to get animated due to lack of unity, also kodansha doesn't own many tv channels.

this is opposite of shueisha(marvel) who basicly owns massive tv channels, and also has unity within their series (like avengers while jump has many cross overs) people compare different shounen series together and they usually have a set formula, similar to marvel,
while kodansha and DC are unorthodox each of their stories are vastly different.
