  I think he was supposed to carry the hero as the gods apostles but the gods noticed how they treated him and gave him that book. To others the hero has a higher standing but to the gods their apostles is only under them

  I mean he kinda is, all it takes is from him to stand his ground and ignore the call from the leader. Using another damage type spell there would have worked, which would be enough to show that he stil can dish out shit. That's on him for being bound by those stupid calls.
  
  Story implies that this happened quite a few times, had plenty of opportunities to make his own calls and show results if he thought his leader was stupid.

The word "hero" gets tossed around a lot in manga and I generally hate it, even if the hero is a cool guy.
The status of a hero is earned by valor, it's not something that is granted by chance.

The plot seems interest, but the tipical "hur dur everyone(or most) in hero party is a bunch of a***oles for no reason and MC is good guy so of course readers hate them and side MC " is becoming stupid as it gets. Author could at least try a little more.

This interesting a hero who's over confident that doesn't think about teamwork and only cares for power.... The mc on the other hand did the right thing and left the party to solo which Is also fine cuz he got guide book to defeat and monsters and bosses.let's just hope hero dies early on in the manga! :D

Nah, Look at the colored picture they have two different hair colors. One has black the other brown, but that really doesn't say anything me and my sister have extremely different hair and we come from the same parents, My sister has curly, dirty blonde hair and I have thick, dark brown hair that doesn't curl. But I share the same color hair as my cousin despite us not being blood related as my dad is adopted and all the women on my mom's side have varying shades of blonde and the guys have all have shades of black or dark brown. Genes be wild, and like to gamba on varying traits you pick up from your family.
