The fuck are you talking about? One it wasn't nobles that gave the orphanage that food, it was an alchemist and his disciple/daughter. Which by the way even if it was to gloat giving food to orphan kids is a really good thing, only ungrateful and spoiled brats would see it the way you do.

Second the one who told the kids to say thank you was the orphanage lady, and by the way teaching kids to say thank you is the correct thing to do, it's called manners. Also what the alchemist said isn't wrong to teach kids to show mercy and kindness to those less fortunate is a good thing and what better way then to show by example. As a father if your daughter was that kind wouldn't you want to brag?

Third the alchemist daughter didn't go to suck up to ruby, she went and payed her respects to a young talented alchemist that is excelling in her field.

Feels like youre the exact type of person like ruby if you see the actions of those people that badly.
