He's in a no win scenario other than if the rumors of entertainment being true. If he doesn't wait till she's of age, he gets found out, she gets exposed, then there will be blackmail, media backlash, careers ruined, or some combo where he most likely is ruined/jailed while her reputation/career is destroyed. He waits till she's of age they can still accuse and many would still believe he "groomed" her, even if she comes out to his defense. The only chance of him winning is the rumors of entertainment being true where many in control are pedophiles and work in collusion to keep, maintain, and groom future talent... in this case he doesn't win, but he doesn't lose in the eyes of the public mainly because he's literally shielded by the efforts of others to avoid their own exposure.
