Reina's clearly in the wrong, but she is trying to dodge the consequences of doing so by claiming it didn't count because she didn't get caught in the act taking another man's cock *yet*.

It's not a mentality that a sane person should allow further access to their life.

His mistake was not walking farther fast enough and letting his his ex have a chance to speak that she has done nothing to earn at this point. If she didn't have a damn good and honest explanation at the time of the breakup, she isn't going to have an honest one later. Oh, and putting up with Natsuki's blatant manipulation with the valentines day event. That's ghosting worthy behavior.

It's pretty clear that Reina got caught at minimum in the initial stages of cheating, usually referred to as an "emotional affair" which is still a relationship termination level offense because it isn't the behavior of someone invested in their official relationship.
