Understandable... I'm not sure about 'shit' but you are right that things are getting a bit muddled. Another character or two won't break my interest for it though, since it's what the character brings that matters.
This next character is obviously the new hero, replacing the mc, since the world balances itself when a hero dies or in this case; changes classes. So I'll continue to enjoy it.
Hopefully things round out near the we later half, since this part isn't as strong as the first half if the story.
