Interesting... What must it be like to be stuck almost a decade in the past?

it's almost like people completely forget about all of that in the intervening weeks between major chapters.

Depends on how big the room is, but just making a few assumptions, they have far more air than you'd expect.

Assuming the average person consumes about 11,000 litres of air a day, and there's approximately 100 people in that room, or 1,100,000 total litres of air per day in a room that let's just conservatively say is 60 feet long in both directions with a 20 foot ceiling, though from the pictures it appears to be much bigger than that. The room itself would have about 2 million litres of air in it, this gives the whole party a little less than 2 days of oxygen.

This doesn't account for the fact that we also breathe out oxygen when we exhale, as it's not completely used up, and that carbon dioxide tends to sink and so the Co2 levels would slowly rise as the day went on leaving a layer of unused oxygen above, as well as that people would probably start fainting well before oxygen levels dip to zero, so just saying that "they would consume this many litres in this time" is a gross oversimplification.

let's say at least a day with those assumptions, if none of them participate in any strenuous activities.

Clayton fell and broke his neck with the vines like a noose, he didn't get strangled. In fact, anyone who was hanged as execution was killed with a broken neck.

The fall was high enough for him to reach terminal velocity before reaching the ground. Even if he hit water, there's no surviving that. I've read that if you can slow yourself down enough and get EXTREMELY lucky by hitting a bunch of trees on the way down, you can live, but you will still definitely break all of the bones in your legs and pelvis. But since Charles is extremely old, The chances of him surviving that are slim to none, and the chances of him being able to make it far enough to get medical treatment before he died from shock are zero, especially with the blimp gone, so I'm gonna say he's guaranteed to have died from that fall.

Clayton from Tarzan died from the fall. Sort of? And Charles Muntz from Up we didn't really see die, but we can assume that a fall from that height is almost certainly fatal.

don't get it wrong it'll still hurt like hell to be struck there. It's a vulnerable intersection of joints.
