Well they are a fantasy race of supposedly only females so there should be some biological checks and balances or some other thing like magic power comparability & inheritance or something else.
And also they do all look similar to eachother and are plants (or their kin) in a sence which have strong resistance and checks for negatives of inbreeding.
So In a sense of them being plant beings and fantasy magic it works out. (There is also that broken faith power)
