The goal of the devil is to make the corpse he inhabits become the king of this country. But he was kinda dealt a bad hand, because the princess (corpse) is a bastard that was pursued by the queen once she knew she was born, so now the devil has to both tiptoe around the fact that she's the bastard daughter of the king, but also that he's a devil in the corpse in the first place. Idk what the devil will do once he/she gets the throne, though.

You can say that she's, like, putting her body into "overdrive mode." You know, a bit like Avatar's fire bending, your body does get hotter when you excercise more. So it's not a stretch to reverse-apply this to a power system involving fire and heat to overheat yourself. If I remember correctly, even Pokemon does that with the move "Flame Charge", which does build up speed after it's used.

I am still satisfied, we got plenty of answers, and still more answers to come in the next chapters and volumes. Getting a little tease of what's "D" (For now my interpretation is DEEZ NUTZ) is fine. I wouldn't want it all to be revealed that easy ;)

It's always interesting to see this metaphorical David fight his sister not using strength, but wits and items. I still feel this situation is hopeless, but I hope that the author writes a good synergy between the items to make a satisfying brawl.

Also, I can imagine the paranoia that the surface world will live in now, thinking that an ascendant monster escaped the dungeon and is roaming somewhere unknown, just for it to have decided to go back and become even stronger XD
