My bet is something is probably gonna go sideways and the story'll go from "episodic content" to the "serious" long arc of fighting some big bad. Tropes are tropes for a reason and battle manga tend to really like to follow 'em.

eh, people joke about torturing creatures in video games all the time. Out of context it sound horrific, but in context its just pixels on a screen. I suspect something about their world/the goddess just makes the people she chooses as "heroes" dissociate from the inherent value of life or something. Like, lets not kid ourselves. Most high schoolers aren't cartoon villains either yet like half of the classmates just went full arrogant prick mode as soon as they got powers.
Alternatively, she just manages to find/gather all the sociopaths of the world (and earth, apparently) all in one place.

Yeah there are two pro/ex-pro teams in here besides EE. The one that kept fluctuating between Pro and Challenger was Jade Dynasty. Im pretty sure this one is Team Everlasting, which relegated two years ago (S7? I think?) and had stayed in promos for two years (that's including this year against Happy).

seriously, that's just a recipe for wealth gaps to skyrocket and eventually leave the poor people completely crushed. I guess in this world were your income is mainly dependent on resource gathering in dungeons, it might be not as bad (with drops like the carrots and other veggies you can always figure out something to have enough to eat), but IRL this would be a disaster.

with how much shark jumping I've seen in the past few days across the manga I've been reading, I really wouldn't be surprising if the only part that is an exaggeration is the vocaloid part (as in, it's "just" a regular ai and not a literal voice synth program)

Yeah, and honestly, for folks in the future reading this once its completed, I don't think the pacing is too bad/any of this feels like filler. Its the fact that we need to wait for each chapter that its disappointing to get a new chapter that doesn't advance time too much.

Sure but my statement was about the brains part. Kicking MC out wasn't exactly dumb. Asinine, sure, but not exactly a bad move given what she knew about at the time. She might have even had a "happy" life (those quotation marks are doing some heavy lifting here) if Anise didn't turn out to have powers of her own and become an unexpected variable. Its everything she did after kicking MC out that was completely brainless.

well, most of the plot. The first arc-ish of chapters didn't have all that much to do with the idiot, iirc.

Everyone in this manga is either traumatized or mentally fucked up in some form or another, its actually insane (there's a pun to be made here or something but I'm not witty enough to properly make it)

The Hashashin (alt spellings include Ḥaššāšīn and Ḥashshāshīyīn) order was so famous/infamous in its time that the modern word for a hired professional murderer (aka an assassin) was derived from it. Saying that hashashin is a bad name because of its connection to the word assassin is like saying "Bubble Wrap" (which is/was actually a brand name) is a bad name for bubble wrap. We literally named the thing after the brand because the brand was so famous.

(also, have you heard of Assassin's Creed? Yeah the two factions in the original game are based off of the Hashashin and the Knights Templar, with the Hashashin being the titular Assassins)
