dude i was thinking the same thing and i thought up a theory, basically the sky war god is the mc from the future that was trapped by the goddess but due to being strong he is able to interfere to a certain degree and so he teleported his past self and a few others to murim to train them and deity ascension is actually just a way to make the current mc and future mc combine into one being with 2 soul also making the 2's powers combine. just a theory tho
