I don't think there's double standards, you can hate someone for taking things too far just as much as praising someone for doing something. The dude from Seraph of the end KNEW he was making the potentially wrong choice, and then still did it. If anything he's probably closer to Akira in terms of morally greyness by now. They could also kill Nezuko at any time because they have the power to do so. This guy doesn't.
