I don't think you have ever watched news about russian tech for training, for swimmers they have pools with high pressure water pumps, so teh swimmer simulate training swimming upstream on a river, they have special harness to minimize gimnastic movements so the body learn how to move more gracefully, the hole comunist block used to have all that tech for training that's why they kicked USA butt so hard, of course they also have many, oh so many body enchancer quimicals to help the process, is true that many ex soviet countries don't have that anymore, but rusia still have it, mostly for molitar use these days, but still exist all that technology and many secret things, heck today i am pretty sure many gringo teams buy old russian sport tech to train their athletes, world is way more complicated that wikipedia tell you.
