When the MC first entered the world he's in, he embodied the law of fate. The law of fate affects someone's destiny, this requires knowing the before and after, the present and the future, which only a god should be able to do. The MC was fated to be in that world, so he's at the center of fate. When Yutia had her fate changed by the MC's Law of Fate, this effect caused a god effect of causality. Yutia was then affected by the MC's Law of Causality, and since it was a god effect of causality, this caused a domino like effect, thus rewriting Yutia's every action to return in the MC's favor. This is causing small, medium, and large ripples of causality along the way. Those ripples, caused by an effect, will only get stronger as time goes on.
As this is happening, it's dragging more people in, along with the other villains, with the MC as the center of it all, thus creating even more ripples that will continue in the MC's favor. On top of this, the MC is causing ripples of causality of his own, and when he acquired the forgotten god's power, that's when he officially became an absolute ruler of laws, reaching the pinnacle of laws. Before this, he was just considered an absolute ruler with strong enough laws to be at the center of it all.
Think of it this way: because his Law of Causality is at the pinnacle, picture the MC as a "Supermassive Black Hole" of destiny. This means any event that happens in the MC's world, even things he didn't start to begin with, eventually gets drawn into his "gravity" For example, if a villain tries to hatch a plot, the MC's law of causality "hijacks" that plot and turns it into something that favors him. As long as no "Higher God" or "Stronger Law" exists to pull the universe in a different direction, the "Center" cannot move.
In short, the MC is a walking powerhouse with passive laws manipulating everything 24/7 while being unaware of how powerful he really is and what he's manipulating. As long as no one has a stronger law of causality than the MC, he will always remain at the center.
It has been shown since the very beginning, but knowledge is needed on laws like the Law of Fate and the Law of Causality because they are the bread and butter of the story. The misunderstanding trope is usually based around laws, it always has been. An example would be cultivation works like "Beyond Myriad Peoples" or "It Turns Out I Was Invincible All Along" and non cultivation works like "I'm Really Not The Demon God's Lackey" etc.
The author assumes readers know what laws are, the law types, and what they do. If you understand laws, you will understand why the people observing the MC react the way they do, how strong the MC really is, why the villains obsess over MC, etc. Everything is explained, even Viankal's explanation about the MC is good enough to grasp what's really going on behind the scenes, that is, if you're paying attention.
Now, are all the explanations made so far perfect? No, of course not, but it's enough to dismiss all of your claims. Not every author is going to hold someone's hand while they read their work, so do not expect a perfect one to one when laws are involved. It's not easy to understand, and that's exactly the issue you're having. You're not the only one having an issue with it, that's exactly why I'm taking my time to explain it in my posts.
With that said, the groundwork has already been laid out for quite some time. Yutia's obsession was explained, as I stated before. It requires an understanding of laws. If you don't understand laws, you would fail to realize her obsession started right when she had her fate changed by the MC's Law of Fate. As soon as Yutia's fate changed, she was affected by the MC's Law of Causality, which, in turn, rewrites Yutia's every action in the MC's favor. From a simple letter to simple actions, it affects everyone. All this causes ripples of causality, those ripples will only get stronger as time goes on and continue in the MC's favor, matching his high status.
Research laws, it will make a lot of sense if you try to understand them. Not everyone will be willing to go the extra mile, but if you do, not only will you understand more about this story, but also other works that are based around laws.
In this world, the MC is considered a god, not just any god, but an absolute ruler of laws. I've explained why, in my older post, which I believe is Chapter 11. Even if the MC doesn't realize it, his very existence is a cause. The Law of Causality forces an effect to happen that matches his high level status. If he gives a "normal" gift or advice, the universe must rewrite itself with an equivalent outcome to his high status. It's not a coincidence. He's that powerful, he's not even supposed to be in that world to begin with.
Think of it this way: because the MC's power is at such a high level of status, the universe literally treats his casual mistakes as divine commands. His followers benefit from this, and as the villains saved from the law of fate gather people to spread their faith along with them towards the MC, the cause and effect will only become stronger as time goes on. Faith is a source of power for gods.
Understanding the laws is crucial in this story, laws are the true drive of the narrative. If you don't know the Law of Causality, the story will inevitably feel empty. That knowledge is the bread and butter, the foundation for seeing all the massive ripples of causality created by the MC's misunderstandings.
With that said, MC is passively creating new laws. As of Chapter 14, he has already established ripples in fate and magic, etc. What people see as "empty" or "nothing" is actually the foundation of a new world order being written.
In the beginning, he was already manipulating the law of fate and the law of causality, and when he obtained the Forgotten God's power, the law of magic was introduced. The whole story is based around laws, even in this chapter, he's creating more laws. How is that nothing? You have to understand what laws are and what they do before everything makes sense. If you don't, there is nothing but pretty pictures, Like you said.
this is not a brain off kind of story. If you know what the law of causality is, you would know it can start from misunderstandings. Everything and everybody is moving according to the MC. He's insanely overpowered. A lot of things he's been doing, you could argue, are pointless, he's doing it simply because he's unaware of how powerful he really is.
Think of it this way! if this were a cultivation story, he's already at the end of the road. He skipped the entire process a cultivator would go through from one opportunity. To sum up MC's power in a hopefully simple way to understand: the Dao is the source code, it's the universe itself. The MC is able to rewrite the source code, which is the representation of laws.
An example of this being used is the manhua "The Heavenly Path is Not Stupid" It's shown in the first few chapters where the MC rids slavery through rewriting laws, and another example is My Golden Core is a Star, do you call this cultivating?
The MC uses a brush to rewrite certain laws in a forbidden zone, for easier entry without the threats involved. It's pushed even further when he rewrites laws on how one receives cultivation in that forbidden zone, thus changing how fast someone can break through in that controlled area. Speaking of a controlled area, you always start from somewhere, think of it like a domain. The more you understand said laws, the more the owner can expand said domain, eventually encompassing the universe, and in return, your domain at the pinnacle of understanding is the universe itself.
In "Raising The Villains The Right way" when the observing eye gets used, they're peeking into a passive "dominion" that rewrites the law of how the MC is perceived, this is the law of perception. This is why I said Viankal was lucky, he did not die on the spot from taking a glimpse into the unknown. Because doing this can cause a mental collapse or even death as they are trying to process something technically "impossible" within the world's standards. Thus, they try to erase their thoughts and what was seen or heard, or they're on their way to death's road.
The MC also manipulated the law of fate, which he fundamentally broke by preventing the "villains" from meeting their predetermined tragic ends. Another is the law of causality, also known as the law of cause and effect, which the MC unknowingly manipulates. While the Law of Fate deals with what is supposed to happen which is "destiny" the Law of Causality governs the logic of how one thing leads to another. With that said, the law of magic is his most powerful one because the possibilities are endless.
The sad part, though, is that he's this overpowered, yet I highly doubt we will see all the MC has to offer power wise because it's not really the point of the story.
With that said, the reason for my first post was mainly a "what if" scenario, and is it wrong to want that kind of ending since it would fall into a more sad ending? I was also hoping for someone to have watched the movie "Maquia When the Promised Flower Blooms" to see where I'm coming from.
Because, when the lifespan topic was brought up and the FMC was worrying that she would outlive her family. That movie I mentioned, "Maquia When the Promised Flower Blooms" came to mind, especially the ending of that movie. It was a great movie, and I'm not going to lie. If anyone reading my first post did not watch that movie, that entire post, besides the first part, would most likely come off as gibberish because there would be no connection to be made to see the comparison I'm talking about, let alone visualizing it all from start to finish, which ties into the "what if" scenario. This is why I ended my first post with Just something to think about, you know? The what if!
If the author decided to do what "Maquia When the Promised Flower Blooms" did, he or she would need an entire new story based around it to even do that kind of story justice. Even an afterstory would struggle to get the message across because you're diving into the deep end of things, and it touches on a lot of deep topics. It's the start to finish that brings it all together.
Now, don't get me wrong, not every story would I want an alternative ending for. I'm not saying this story's ending was bad. It was pretty good, actually, for the kind of story it is based on. But something about the ending hit differently when the lifespan topic was brought up, to the point I couldn't help but think about "Maquia When the Promised Flower Blooms"
Which, in return, would explore deep themes of motherhood, love, loss, and the bittersweet nature of life and time as she raised them, facing the challenges of a rapidly changing world and her own loneliness.
An example of this is the movie called "Maquia When the Promised Flower Blooms" It's about immortal beings called Iorph/Lolph who weave the history of humans into special cloth. The story focuses on Maquia, a young immortal who raises a human baby, exploring themes of motherhood, time, and loss. She watches the human baby grow and age while she remains eternally young.
It's such a sad movie, if you ever want a good tearjerker, that movie hits the spot. I highly recommend it, it's great!
Just something to think about, you know? The what if!

"No" or "I'm not interested" can be taken as I still have a chance. All it takes is Kano sitting down with the older brother, putting her foot down, and laying it all out on why their common interests will never align. In return, there are no expectations left, it's a done deal. That's an official rejection, It's called communication.

As a kid, I still remember to this day how imposing Exodia, the Forbidden One, was. Now, I want you to look at that one red eye in the panels and visualize Exodia. Fill in the missing pieces, just feel it out. When you do, it adds so much more depth to the panels to the point it feels like you're actually there, especially if you remember the feeling of Exodia, the Forbidden One, when playing or watching classic Yu-Gi-Oh when it was popping off back in the day.
Keep mind, classic exodia had red eyes and it's easy to miss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfqNH3FoGi0
With that said, the series started as a web novel that eventually made its way to a light novel to appeal to a wider audience.
