1. I also know enough stories, where the safe option leads to people becoming weak. Mc was OP at that moment he could have gone to any island. 1/3 go to the safe location. If everyone would have used one ticket, it would have been 1/3 either way and I doubt that guide would say the whole truth to begin with. There might have been some casualties, but most would have survived. This way their deaths is on the people and not the game.

Every stage is dangerous. Saying this island is dangerous is like saying this ocean is wetter than the other. If Mc or author actually wanted they could made 2-3 chapters of adventure were the difficult islands had the best leveling opportunity and hidden or natural treasures.Other possibility for the weak would have been to do a mass bum rush to the boats. Author was just to lazy or stupid to come up with something creative and just went for the shock value.
