A few years back I was bike riding up in the mountains with my good mate from childhood. When we stopped for a break, a venomous snake must've been lying in the sun near where my mate sat down because he jumped back up screaming as the damn thing had bitten him on the left butt cheek. Luckily we had an old shitty satellite phone his dad had made us bring for the trip. I called a snake-bite centre and they were able to identify the snake from our description. They also made it very clear that unless we sucked out the venom, he might not survive. Anyway he's dead now, I still miss him though. Sucks riding alone.
