Why author keeps trying to justify MC's [iwineverytym] button with all the cultivation bullshit is possibly the thing I dislike most about this series. The effort would be better spent building up the inevitable big bad, or literally anything else instead.

That felt really rushed, much like this entire battle arc. The fights are annoying as fuck with all the backstory flashbacks, and then its over and they move on. Rinse and repeat...
