After reading the 1st 30 chapters years ago, I thought this manga was mediocre. To my surprise, it has 166+ chapters atm.
So I read them and can say the manga is pretty good actually. The isekai portion of the manga is pretty pointless, barely any impact. The MC is weak and pathetic, but that's intentional. This manga is all about the side characters, and they're very good. Everything is quite logical and enjoyable. I'd recommend trying it.

I assume the Mierelle told Thomas that blonde haired brother will war vs Ars in the future. So Thomas will have a chance to avenge black haired brother if he serves Ars.

I just remembered that previous chapters said black haired brother was unskilled, but had useful subordinates, like Thomas. Whereas blonde brother was skilled, but had mediocre subordinates.

He's had so many of his own soldiers die in the war, and would risk losing even more if he rebelled again. Even if he were useful it would be to dangerous to let him live.
