"We need to pad the story... why not memory loss AND mutual NTR?"

I know "lost the plot" is usually meant in the figurative sense, but it feels like the manga has now done so in the literal sense. Every bit of the story that first hooked audiences has been either erased or reversed. Nomamoto, who was once a chaotic foil for the MC, is now just cruel for cruelty's sake, if not to set her up as a villain somehow.

Dammit, what a red herring: I thought that in Bug over-describing Daemon's ability, this would've been the moment to kill two birds with one stone, given the confusion of battle.

Either return to the circus or quit acting like a clown.

Well shit. Nomamoto--being the clear cut correct choice for the protagonist to ally with--is now going to be slowly framed more and more as the one whose ideals must be opposed.
We're being slowly gaslight into foregoing the original premise of the manga to placate those who were offended by it.

The right-cheeked beauty mark is VERY important information

Oh. Saint Germain is 100% Turbo Granny's ex-husbando.

Damn, I'm glad Yuri's hypothetical was not first. I would have been too overjoyed to see him offed only to see it as an impossible future.

Per your first chunk: I would further argue that some tales, Grimms' being the relevant examples, are as likely to be cautionary toward parents as well. But that may be delving too far down the rabbit hole.
Per the second: whatever country you are from is not unique in the respect that you frame. My original point still stands that there is not some weird, nefarious underpinning appealing to p3dos that could be more easily explained by exaggerated euphemism (however overt, at times). You yourself make this clear: that the fairy tale IS cautionary in this instance, not some superficial fetishization.

YOU cannot help me if you cannot help yourself, as this is a matter of YOUR particular interpretation of a widely, independently utilized storytelling motif--not a problem of history. Said motif being focused on children does not make it pedophilic in nature. Again I say: this is just odd projection on your part (my opinion).

The common theme of "obey some ABC moral/ethic or XYZ harrowing end will befall you" is a likely what evolved from an archaic, orally passed teaching/parenting tool to get kids to mind their parents, hence both its ubiquity across global cultures and roots far into antiquity. It fits with the sociality of humanity + the increase in evolutionary fitness offered by properly (by relative cultural standards) guiding the youth, who tend to be stupid.

"Like most fairy tales is a cautionary tale against pedophiles"
Some wild deduction, or projection.

Since we've already jumped off the deep end with this manga, I wonder if the TL/localization went "fuck it" with this chapter or if the mangaka themself is just having fun with the dialogue.

Also, Nomamoto has somehow become the best character by a wide margin.

So the manga did the mass 3rd world immigration shtick... and now a COVID/measles setup? Maybe the long, drawn-out Lally shoehorn plot will be worth it after all...

I'm okay with a Toilet ex machina if it means that Turbo Granny is being re-integrated into the story.

We finally get someting actually compelling for the first time in several chapters and then... timeskip...? I guess this is a better change of pace. Interested in seeing Lily die regardless of whether the long, drawn-out back story of his younger brother was true or not

That's what is fun (although some people will disagree, since it is stretching things a bit too long) about this arc: in a person with functional schizophrenia/multiple personality disorder, that extra voice/personality is themself experiencing what amounts to the internal turmoil of the original person. This makes Yoru no longer a garden variety psychopath (though, whatever extra dimension is being developed for her, only Fujimoto [maybe] knows).

I wonder if Yuri is as disliked of a character in Japan as he is in the West--it feels like his sole existence is to block advancements in relationship building between Loid and Yor
