You might be right. Since most of the times we have seen her "acting tough", she was with Kurose. She might have just been trying to look cool in front of him lol. And now when he isn't there she gets swayed easily.

But that's just a theory!

What is this development? Why is Haimiya being such a pushover now? I hope the author doesn't sabotage the characters for the sake of moving the plot forward.

(However, I can't lie, if a scene comes up about Haimiya and Kurose "raising" children(just taking care) that would still be peak.)

I must say, after watching the anime, it did a lot better portraying the design of these characters as high schoolers. For like 20 chapters or something, because of the roundness of the artstyle, I thought they all were middle schoolers lmao.

To be honest, even I questioned why they don't just storm these mines given the abilities we have seen of these people.

But the smarter approach would still be covert operation and a surprise attack. If they tried to storm the place, the LEL intelligence would observe the troops, the supplies, the deployment, etc. and would be able to determine what their action would be.

As for the revolts, it doesn't matter if the miners succeed and take over, or fail and get killed, since in the end the mining operation stops, and LEL spplies get crippled.

This is all speculation though, I like the story and trust it. We might see the answers soon enough anyways.

From what I have understood based on the last few chapters, the mines are a big source of the Professor's, and by extension, LEL's income. We heard him talk to others about how the profits are dropping from these mining operations.

So maybe this mission of theirs' is to completely break down LEL's source of income, or at least a big portion of it. It being an international organization would mean that it's resource extensive, so breaking supply is a good tactic(maybe, I don't know too much about wars and how they are fought).

Also since we don't see the rest of the family with Shimazaki, they must be in other mines or such places inciting revolts.
