Worst part is we still see the impact of that war to this day. Well. The real life equivalent. After all the French Revolution did happen and it was as wretched as you see here.

Yeah. Robespierre was as much of a raging psycho as this portrayal. And his own encouragement of violence ended up killing him when he realized he had gone too far and asked to stop the violence he encouraged.

This was somewhat accurate to the situation. Lous did seek to fix the problems, social and financial, with reforms. But a combination of his own ignorance on how bad things were at first, desperate efforts at fixing the problem, and pressure from other nobles and clergy, made his efforts impossible and led to disastrous results.

Remember the CCP was willing to sacrifice the civilians of their country, and even blocked the doors and windows of houses to make sure no one fled.

IRL too. Not all of them, of course, but all their politicians are, and criminal organizations are evil regardless of country.

This is slightly based on facts. China does have a big part in organ trafficking. Chinese organs are also unpopular. So they take their organs from Falun Gong and Uyghur concentration camps because the Falun Gong sect and the Uyghurs lead healthier lives for religious reasons and also avoid pollution due to living away from the general population.

The accuracy with which this manga portray the most twisted side of the revolutionaries is fascinating.

The more I read, the more I am fascinated by this story. Normally stories set in that period portray the revolutionaries as heroes. They were not heroes. They were resentful savages. That's why the French Revolution resulted in disaster while the American Revolution led to the birth of a great nation which decayed due to influence of pseudointellectuals inspired by Rousseau.

Wait! The villains are the violent revolutionaries? Nice! Historically accurate too!

I remember someone saying, half jokingly, that Robespierre was fueled by incel rage. Maybe that wasn't so untrue, considering how bad his revolution turned out.

One historical fact about Marie Antionette is that she was actually quite dull in the head, even entirely unaware of how awful life was for the commons.
She didn't say "let them eat cake." When she was told the commons protested because there was no bread she said "But we have brioche", because she couldn't imagine the palace having food and the commons not having food. She literally was so low IQ she assumed the commons had access to brioche because she did. A complete idiot!
Even during her execution her last words were expressions of affection to France. She was literally unaware of her own financial irresponsibility and didn't understand why people hated her. She was not evil. She was stupid.

Yeah. The father is an asshole. He didn't need to drag one down to bring the other up. He just had to make some excuse to say "Actually, both are siblings."
