I think it'd more to do with the fact that this was TL'd in 2020, and almost half the people on the internet were saying "that's gay" if something didnt go their way, im guilty of it to, but I was like 14 at the time. I think this is a way for her to officially get into the Exiled village where she went to all the time in the beginning, and somehow use this to create a meritocracy of nobility, because there's realistically no way to get rid of the nobility peacefully in one generation or This is how she is gonna stop the exiling of people and the grandfather clause of that.
