It's a pretty subtle hint. I've been paying pretty close attention to the story, and it never crossed my mind that her suggestion was for them to get married—or at the very least, to enter a relationship. There weren’t many context clues pointing to them getting together, aside from Moriya visiting the house and Mai catching them together in public. Now that I think about it, Niijima's coworkers finally noticed how much Moriya is crushing on him. So, maybe there were some context clues after all. But these two don’t really give off the vibe of a couple.

Just don't get too comfortable and let your dreams fester.

A strange thought occurred to me. What if the guy Moriya rejected way back gets together with Chika. Thought that would be funny.

To expand, the author mentioned that the reason for the body swap is because the original owner wanted to escape their current situation. But what if the reason they were ready to give up on life never existed in the first place? In Marika's case, her mother returned to being kind, and despite missing a year of school, her friends and adults supported her. Given the conditions for possession, why can Takae and the author continue possessing their bodies? Is it ethical for the author to claim he's acting in the best interest of the original host when the bullies who tormented him can no longer touch him, now that he's a well-known and respected member of society, even after being ejected multiple times?"

So in other words, Takae won't be able to move on until Keisuke finds a new love. Hence why Moriya is with him this chapter.
