I agree with all that but I did sort of refer to industrial runoff with the mining and processing of resources for "green energy" such as lithium, which turns large area's into wasteland.

China is communist yet they produce the most pollution out of any country except maybe India, saying that it's due to capitalism is short sighted since all countries no mater their political practices use fossil fuels for energy and mining the resources for "green" energy and processing them causes just as much pollution if not more, it may surprise you to learn that nuclear power is probably the cleanest form of energy currently available.
