as i said ancient gold dragon. his name indicates "ancient" meaning it's lived a long ass life, "gold" practically means it's special, and "dragon" meaning it's a flying scaled lizard that will keep strengthening itself while it gets older. so it's scales and strength are tougher than any ordinary adult dragon or ordinary ancient dragon. so an ordinary attacks have no meaning unless hit in a specific spot or that ordinary attack has the power to crush it's strengthened scales

not if the dmg is dispersed by the scales, the only reason mc was able to penetrate the torso of the Ancient Golden Dragon is because it was already injured there before

too many scales it's better to hit them in the same place since there's this thing called an HP bar
