Nah y'all are stupid this chapter was great. It introduced the Kushan civilization, explained their culture and political structure, demonstrated their internal conflicts, showed us where they stand in the broader story. Then at the end we saw the apostle (or whatever it is) having infiltrated the highest levels of their politics and shown us that Guts and Farnese are reacting to it.

It wasn't that long of a chapter, but I'd rather them go at whatever pace they can while still maintaining a standard of quality that isn't disrespectful to Miura's legacy. And for how short this chapter was, it did a lot.

You know, this isn’t my favorite manga, but at least it has the decency to have very little text so it’s easy to read.

I do not believe in the slightest that battler fell for this act. I was concerned how it would play out when I saw the wedding in the beginning but I am actually less concerned now.

First chapter in a while where I kinda liked the writing, still a lot of this chapter was repetition of ideas from the last few chapters that took place in this meeting. It’s a shame because ONE is a brilliant writer and Murata is a brilliant artist. The problem is that this isn’t written directly by ONE anymore it’s a loose adaptation of ONE’s writing by Murata who is not a writer.

When Beatrice was doing the murders I was happy because I like Beato better than everyone but when Jessica kills Kirye I’m sad because I like Kirye better than Jessica

Gasp’s ass in the recap makes me miss the previous artist. I like this one a lot too, but I miss the endless butts and thighs.

Na you can’t think of the killings in the game the way you would think of killing someone normally. It’s metaphorical, showing how he’s no longer allowing his mother to control him as well as a demonstration of George’s conviction. They even made this clear by having Eva transform into Eva-Beatrice for the fight. Also this isn’t anything new; it’s a resolution to the motif of the question of whether to sacrifice yourself, your love, or everyone else. George previously stated he’d sacrifice everyone else, so this is him fulfilling that promise.

Ok so my theories about the nun are mute since Virgilia knows her from outside the game. I guess this means they really are magical entities that exist to deny the existence of magic. It’s not actually contradictory it just means there must be a reason why they were created that way

Miki, Kinzo just opened the window normally when he theoretically jumped out of them. The only reason she would have heard the door from the bathroom is because as its previously been established it’s a uniquely loud heavy duty door with an autolocking system

Ok I understand what the nun is now. She’s an aspect of bernkastel’s obsession with the mystery genre corrupting Beato and Battler’s game. She is a tool to make an attack against Beato’s existence from within the game. My guess is that these knox nun summons don’t normally exist in the world and like Erika were created by Bern as pieces to use in the game. That would explain why something so contradictory as a magical summoned being that exists within the part of reality where magic is real but are designed to undermine that reality.

Or maybe this is a Kakera where the mystery writer Ronald Knox was a wizard who made a familiar that dresses like a slutty nun and has the mystical power to enforce her creator’s guidelines of good mystery writing on the world of magic.

Whatever it is I’m not complaining I think this is great
