To me, this manga is split into two parts: the first part to rescue Falin (as discussed in the first chapter) until around chapter
The first part does a pretty fantastic job to emphasize all the lore, world-building, characters, motivations, and the emphasis on the food is pretty good. There is an element of knowledge that I enjoyed, where the characters aren't really going into a place with no knowledge nor any information on what is to be expected. This knowledge allows them to show off their skills in an enjoyable way for us readers... at least, to me.
I want to take a moment and point out that the first part's goal is clear and so, as a reader, we know that all progression is making its way to that goal. Every floor that is completed gives us an understanding of what they went through before the first chapter's events. There will probably be a moment where you're wondering "how did they make it this far?" and other moments where you will be impressed by the characters. I find it to be pretty well done.
Also, using other groups to show of dangerous the dungeon can be -> is excellent writing, in my opinion.
Then comes the next part and I think the author fumbled somewhere when working on all this. I feel that the quality drops and things go off the rails. What's the point of the second part? Where are we coming from? Where are we going? Who are all these people? Wait, I know these guys, why do they matter all of a sudden?
I feel like there is some wandering and meandering in this part and it goes on for too long. It even reverts back the formula of the first part but without a clear goal, it's just tedious filler getting in the way of progress. It worked in the first part because it was the entire point. It was set up carefully such that "we're at point A, we gotta get to point B to save Falin. We got obstacles in the way and we must work through them." Now? The point is well beyond anything like that and I wish it was addressed with a single panel. I ask again, where are we? Where are we going?
Eventually, the manga finally decides "okay, this is what I want to do!" The problem is this that this decision happens three or four times, getting more annoying every time. If this manga wasn't completed when I read it, or if it was 20 chapters longer, I might've given up on it.
To summarize, the first part is excellent but the second part, which is around 70 chapters, is pretty mehhhhhhh. So, 7/10 is where I still stand on this.
"Original run August 1978 – July 1986"
So, if you see it copying some ideas, then give it the benefit of the doubt as it probably came up with the idea first.
What is it about? Well, as the description says, it's about traveling through time to save innocent people and avoiding changing history as much as possible. There isn't too much comedy unless you find Mr. Main Character's ineptitude to be funny, which it is.

Like bruh... Good news though: this is from the era where things just eventually work out. There's also no major overarching story that needs to get resolved, no big baddie that's ruining everything or any of that. It's more or less just a collection of smaller stories featuring the same characters going through different events. Manga was so much easier to make almost five decades ago. lol
It's a nice and easy read that's like a bag of chips. Sample it for a few chapters and if you don't like this flavor, move on. If you like it, enjoy the bag of chips, just 35 chapters, and move on.
So like... 6/10.
Okay, after 5 minutes - and only 5 minutes so take it for what it is worth, I'mma spend longer typing this - I can confirm: this is a waste of time.
If you wanna see anime girl tiddies, go to another website and get it out of your system. This manga is just a bit of horny bait featuring... hold on... oh jeez, they're not high schoolers or something? They're in middle school? So like, 12 year olds? How is any manga allowed to get away with this?
Anyway, this brand of illegal kids being horny features a girl who is about 80% naked at all times -> jabbering whatever about supernatural elements that don't matter.
"Hey, you're being dismissive." Am I? Because it's horny bait that draws you in, and I skipped ahead 15 chapters and it devolves into an average "lonely loser" manga where Mr. Main Character and Ms. Main Character are showing off their grand and amazing adventures of... having friends and stuff.
I skipped some more and there is a society of witches, but again, it really doesn't matter. Why? The last chapter is effectively a "stop! This is axed! Bye!" out of nowhere. I imagine whatever setup they had literally the chapter before it evaporates into thin air and the final conclusion that I can tell is "Ms. Main Character is a slightly more normal person now." Congratz on the notion that being unique is bad... I guess?
Yeah, I am pretty dismissive as I barely read any chapters but honestly...?
0/10. If you're horny, you won't find anything here. If they do actually have sex, don't reply. These kids are around 12 years old and I don't want to know and neither should you.
Relationships are a funny thing.
Take this married man, who married to TWO women and has a kid -> this is his face as a not-his-wife person crushes on him, hard.

Meanwhile, his sister casually talks down at the Emperor/Sovereign. That's just how the relationship between them is.
And here we have a secondary life form that originated from him -> immediately choosing violence upon their reunion.
Speaking of which, "Evil God" needs a new/better name -> but more importantly, can he become GIGANTIC too?
Still, do you think Raviel will be mad with him if he does die?
How dare?!
3/10 Mx0 is better and it seems to have gotten axed too.
Note: it is weird, but If you click on the author's name here, you will only see this manga, but he has quite a few works. Search for Mx0 and click on the author's name there to see the rest.
Unlike his other works, this Mr. Main Character is an absolute generic "Lonely Loser." Sure, there is this plot point about aliens and stuff, but it's mostly about lonely loser's journey to becoming not-a-lonely-loser. Once that's done, it kinda barrels down to getting to the ending because that axe is coming down. Once it is done with its silly action-packed sequences, which are pretty good, it actually reverts RIGHT BACK to lonely loser territory for chapter 84.5 so he can get some free kisses from everyone.
You might argue against me, saying things like "gynophobia is real." True! It is real and I'm sorry for the people who suffer from it. Thing is, Mr. Main Character is not suffering from gynophobia. Without a shred of ambiguity, it is shown in chapter 3 that Mr. Main Character is just a horny teenager who has been rejected by non-2D women (without realizing that all 2D women would also reject him) and has convinced himself that "oh no, it's not that I'm a loser who got rejected! Nooooooooo. I'm just scared of them because they're from Jupiter" or some other delusional nonsense like that. This is like... the most important plot point - along with showing off the target girls all naked for fan service. This mangaka's older works never went this far but chapter 4 is one of those "check it out! Anime tiddies!" as if he's is saying "wait no, don't go!" Sigh.
So yeah, 3/10. Maybe skip ahead to the action sequences or just go read Mx0 instead.
It was also axed.
Not really throwing shade at this manhwa specifically because the word "god" has been, is, and will continue to be massively misused. It's a basic trope:
Entities that are a bit strong: *exist*
Also these entities: "I want a title to match!"
aaaaaaaaaaand they're vain enough to pick "god" even though it doesn't suit them.
Yes, I'm aware that in many many video games, you end up fighting and/or killing "gods" too. They also don't deserve the title. I'm just ranting since I have to wait a week for the next chapter. I'll tell you what's making me so impatient:
THE ART
I have high expectations of the mirror match coming up.
I don't know why this is labeled as "Cancelled."
A quick review:
It's pretty good. 8/10, maybe 9/10.
Mr. Main Character starts off in a miserable position and puts in the work, far more work than reasonably possible -> and somehow clutches onto surviving. Things escalate and he is thrust into difficult scenarios that he must work hard to overcome them. It's not just combat, but also other skills. He will eventually become a leader responsible over others, and strategize for best results and all that.
While, yes, he has some "Mr. Main Character" tropes going for him, it never particularly feels "handed to him." Yes, he is lucky here and there, but again, it isn't basic "plot armor" or some meh reason... though I guess you can argue otherwise... I'm just biased to
Character are well written and well rounded. While, yes, there are multiple girls crushing on him, this isn't a harem. Mr. Main Character is monogamous to one person and he absolutely maintains this stance throughout.
The different settings and multiple challenges that Mr. Main Character has to face are interesting. Again, it isn't just combat. At one point, his interpersonal relationship skills are tested. Another point features him in the market - having to deal with jerks who are overpricing low-quality stuff because they hold the market in their hand.
So yeah, interesting plot points do happen and the overarching plot - the grand goal -> is appropriate enough to warrant a lot of the stuff that happens.
At the very end, the manhua leaves space for a future work, so it isn't entirely out of the question for another work that is in the same shared universe or something.
In the end, solid 8/10.
Why?
I already banged on about how monstrous "big cigar" is. Here's a more straightforward reason: it is expensive. A box of cartons of cigarettes is as expensive or more expensive than a brand new video game.
From what I remember: the start is ROUGH. Mr. Main Character is a big time villain and upon his final act -> he dies. Suddenly, he regresses back to when he was in school. Some comedy ensues as he tries to maintain his villain agenda but... things change. Because he's more mentally mature than he should be, and with some knowledge of the future -> he
"Initialization" means "the preparation of a computer or similar device for operation, in which diagnostic tests are run and the operating system is loaded." This is actually pretty accurate as Mr. Main Character is prepared to become a villain; everything is set up and ready to go. What happens?
I remember thinking "wow, the author knows how to walk one path, but end up on another." You don't just casually see Mr. Main Character opting to
On the topic of the manhua's beginning, I found the start to be really rough and hard to get into. It was to the point that I dropped it, read some other completed works (plural), then came back to try again. I failed again, so I went to read other works again, then came back for a third try. Third try is the charm and I managed to get far enough to start enjoying it. For what it is worth, the manhua is pretty good and I'm glad I stuck with it.
Funny enough, part of the reason the start is so rough is that you have trouble making sense of it. It might be on purpose or maybe it's just badly put together -> buuuuuuuuuut after I finished reading this manhua, I went back and gave it another try -> and I found it to be pretty good.
I guess in the end I'd give it a great 8/10.
