This is the most annoying type of cliffhanger, the f****** "cutting a sentence in half for a cliffhanger" cliffhanger is the worst kind it doesn't make me suspenseful it just sort of pisses me off, like let him finish a f****** thought.

I like to think of it like the different sides in world war II, everybody has war crimes and atrocities. But only specific groups pursued those as a policy. more modern stories and these types of settings tend to add more complexity and layers and twist and screw the way things go, but the old default absolutely had good guys and bad guys, at least if the settings being more fantastical. But I do get your point if this were to reflect the real world it equals to a bunch of gangs where some of them have very strict rules and policies about who you can and can't bother, some have slightly less rules, and some have no rules, but they're all in the business of violence.

The f***** up part is genos is also strong as hell, he just constantly runs into the strongest possible bullshit he can encounter at any given time- he's like krillin or piccolo his win-loss record isn't great but only because he's constantly running into some next level shit.

I think it's because with the parallel self I can at least understand his motivations behind his every action, with this one it really does feel like he just does shit and says whatever without ever thinking about anything he's just pure vibes and on the spot thinking.

I do kind of feel bad for the months whenever they get beaten mainly because they were all essentially brainwashed from the age of children into being this thing and dying for it. Like they're essentially just a collection of sad backstories and horrific trauma taped together into the shape of a contract killer. Granted some of them definitely understand enough to lose my pity.

I love how this series accurately displays the pettiness that often inhabits the elderly.

If I remember correctly, he promised that guy something to help out last time, reneged on it, lightly blackmailed him into further cooperation and then left him to deal with another situation after and as that dude is lazy as hell he resents Mc for these actions as he doesn't like having to work.

I mean if you kill Siegfried that also ruins the plan, he is Right there.

(Also why didn't she snitch, like nobody in the norse pantheon's going to listen to her(except Loki) but this version of Zeus probably would if only to see what happens in which case they could have probably just got numbers and jumped not-Odin. But I'm no strategist so my plan probably wouldn't work either.)

Yo this two bit thug just became one of my favorite characters, I actually didn't expect this I didn't think the series could still catch me off guard.

There's a lot of similar ones, but it's always the demon cult somehow either in motivation or methodology, I've never seen one where it's just the "by any means necessary" "long secret plans" "slaughters people to gain power" blood cult painted as the protagonist probably because most of those series tend to try to spin whatever group they have into good guys, or at least the morally neutral, and this group by definition is evil as shit.

Glad to see he's upholding the long SWAT tradition of shooting people's dogs.

Oh absolutely, but it also kind of used to be the heavenly demon sects thing, so maybe I'm just waiting for when we start getting " I am the son of the blood cult" as a series title. It happens to all of them eventually.
