It's like when someone does well in an fps campaign and thinks it will translate to actual PvP. Get wrecked.

Technically, he's also an arch-mage and a sword-master, that's 3 spots filled in the hero party.

That sounds like an excuse Diddy would use. Also, it wasn't gossip, they referenced an actual accident and even her own family's treatment and sheltering of her. Plus, her manner of speech wasn't child like enough for you?

P. Diddy. The girl has the mind of a child, so this is approaching some iffy territory in terms of romance. Though, Diddy wouldn't see it that way. lol

I think they're testing everything but his might and determination. Like the figure said, his siblings would have cut him down and not felt anything. Anyone can have strength, but it's a detriment to the world if that person is corrupt. If they're going to pass on a power left behind from a literal god, they wouldn't give it to someone heartless.

Maybe those are just battle cushions for extra chest protection?

Regular Soldier: Ok, no one told us about this bull shit. *throws down spear* Fuck this, I'm going home. *hurricane of death in the back ground*

Also, would totally play that. How has there been a One Piece and Zelda variant, but not that. I feel like Bleach: Soul Resurreccion tried it, but didn't have nearly the enemy density.

My guess, maybe he's trying to fill the spot of the "supreme" in order to prevent outside intervention?

Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, but coated in poison seems like it would be worlds of unfair.

You've almost certainly experienced flags that didn't end in the "opposite", but just like with human interaction, we often overlook positive outcomes and remember negative ones because of the emotion they instill. If every flag resulted in the opposite, then every story with "happily ever after" would end in tragedy. A flag is just to draw attention verbally in the same way Chekhov's Gun is used to draw attention visually. When will it be used, how will it be used and what the result will be builds tension and suspense. If every flag resulted in the exact opposite every single time, then the story in and of itself would be boring, because we know what will happen and there would be no tension. It would be the equivalent of narrative spoilers.

A flag doesn't necessarily mean the opposite is guaranteed to happen, it's just a means to draw the readers attention to a plot point to add suspense. Regardless, whether its going to happen or not is never known to the characters themselves. In this case, he knows full well that the event is going to happen. So it's not really a flag, but more him being brooding/sarcastic given his peaceful days are about to be over.

It isn't a flag, he knows it's coming.

Not that I don't enjoy it, but between the abyss gas, the taking of their undead, and now this suit of armor, Mc just keeps counter-picking this particular enemy group every single turn. Just about everything they've done has turned into a benefit to him, so much so that I would believe you if you told me the doctor set it up that way on purpose to help him from behind. Cause the alternative is that they are just that unlucky and it's almost depressing.
