He literally bitched that Mc clearing dungeons for people was inappropriate and was making a mockery of the academy because it was allowing people who were unfit to progress. But then goes and offers to have people do the exact same thing for his grand daughter. Hypocrite much?

Oh, nah. It wasn't just me. It was pretty infamous that the highest level gear could take a whole weeks worth of grinding and give you nothing in return. Why most people left, and why they changed alot of that later on to attempt to bring them back.
