Every time I hear about the novels, I feel like I am missing way too much from the story. But if I start reading them I will not be able to come back to this style. its like having a favorite book or show made into a live action and being disappointed by the lack of attention to details.
All that to say, adding him doing what you said happened would have been just as impactful and would have turned the dynamic to a different intensity with the sudden appearance. Do what happened in the last two panels and then hand off the bow and leave all while achieving a more MC inclusive approach.

i could have used more action instead of that build up. i mean he even got teleported and we knew that they were on their last leg. he could have showed up and started killing from the back or just something more than two small ending panels.
