I don't know that he would. He's not entirely stupid just a power hungry AH. I think he saw Lawrence as not a threat to his power. Because Lawrence only has power so long as the king gives it to him. He can easily remove someone without any real social rank of his own. While getting rid of the Ebrons entirely isn't easy. They have power on their own which is why the king doesn't like them or want them to have more. But the king also knows when things will hurt him and currently putting Lawrence in any position of power will hurt his own power. The king acts like he will never die even while staring death in the face. He will only give Lawrence power to take away others power not to actually give his son power. Heck he killed his own sons (with Queen) because they became inconvenient.

Yea I was hoping he had a good reason for thinking she betrayed him and this wasn't it. She thought he had finally run away bc he hated things there or died or something. She thought him gone forever, even said that. She didn't want to be alone and thought him gone. It's not like he only caught the tail end of the convo. Ugh I was really hoping for a better scenario.

He's way worse than Roygar. Not that either are good ppl but dang Lawrence is a nightmare human and will make the worst ruler. He's like a stupid and shortsighted version of his father (The king is very evil too but not as stupid and shortsighted)

so if a wind mage and earth mage worked together they could even hear conversations from far away. Honestly I wish they would show more cooperative magic in stories, especially those with elemental magic. Like a water mage that stops a fire mages spell from expanding too far or a water and earth mage that work together to make quick sand or an air mage that makes a fire mages spells stronger

I like the saying power corrupts those that seek it. Don't trust people that want to be in positions of power or authority because their intentions are inherently suspect.

They made it seem like it was rare but not once in a hundred years rare so maybe others also get it but only reincarnators get it strong enough to be able to tell who else is a reincarnation

Yup the more I see of him the more I hate him. If he had just decided on an heir instead of playing power games (or heck not killed his own kids bc his side chick asked him to) things would have been a lot better for everyone. Even if Lawrence had become king if everyone hadn't been duking it out bc the king pitted them against each other shit would have been better in MCs first life. King created the worst possible situation bc he is afraid of losing power and control to anyone.

I get the feeling he is morally neutral. Definitely greedy but hasn't let that destroy his mind or take over his entire personality. He will probably fall into the category of good but I think in certain circumstances he would fall on the side of evil (through the lens of the hero)

To not run afoul of laws? Maybe you can wipe out a town but if the government thinks you are a threat they will make your life extremely challenging. Plus he isn't a killer. His personality isn't one that could do the amount of violence necessary to wipe them out. Plus if you don't get all the documents and the people involved in it then it just crops up again somewhere else with a new person leading the charge.

I thought prince Cardriol (or whatever his name is) killed his dad on the boat. Did he just capture him and then he escaped. I'm very confused

Honestly there are so many characters in play that I can't remember all of them. Maybe if I read it all from the beginning to here I would but there has been too much time between chapters for me to remember all these people and all the plots in play. It was much easier when it focused on her and they had her explaining things occasionally.

I think I have a basic understanding of it. There are just a lot of plots in play so lots of complicated things happening. I like it better when its mostly from mc pov.

They are the only mushroom I like but I'm allergic to them! It's very sad

They started focusing too much on other people. I can't remember all these people and each of their plots and what any of it has to do with MCs plots.
