It's good but, from looking around for the LN spoilers: Apparently the ending was unsatisfying since Arata (the MC) never really achieved his dreams and best girl was shafted through and through (metaphorically and literally) as the author's attempt to make the MC and a literal child to get together.

All in all I'd say the good parts are good, "I was looking for copper but I found gold" good, but the bad parts are bad, REALLY bad. But that may just be my bias because of the plot so don't let me stop you from reading it
