KINGQUEENLike first of all is this whole situation not INSANE??? And how about the guy actually experiencing it all, they convince him to give it a shot and then drop him into the deep end the whole thing doesn't sit right with me
The story: The story in this isn't anything new or groundbreaking, it doesn't try to create something never seen before, it follows the simple structure of having to complete a goal ->obstacles and walls prevent the goal from completed -> the mc must overcome these obstacles and complete his goals, rinse and repeat, it's simple enough but boy does it execute this exceptionally, I've always said that I was never really interested in reading completely unique stories that have never been seen before, I was always more interested in stories that had been done before, well known structures but have been made to a higher degree of quality and I think this story is the epitome of this.
The story has everything, constant comedy that had me laughing like a hyena at 3am because of the absurdity of it all, serious moments that had me so confused because I thought this was a comedy manhwa, twists and turns with constant elements of surprise, moments of sadness and despair and moments of hope and happiness, it really has it all.
The forefront of this is indeed comedy but don't think that's all this story has for you, it is a roller coaster of emotions throughout and I have to give credits to the creators what they've done with this story is simply amazing.
This review itself doesn't do this story justice there is so much more that could be said about this story but then this review could go on forever.
I will just say that this had reignited my love for isekai stories at a time in my life when I was sick of all of them, it gave me hope that if this could exist then quality isekai/fantasy wasn't dead.
It has been quite a journey reading this from ch 1 all the way to 210 the ending and it has been an absolute pleasure to experience it.
I give this a 9.5/10.
Easily top 3 of my favourite stories of all time.
And if somehow you haven't read this I highly highly highly recommend you read this
As the title suggests, it's an isekai story of a civil engineering reincarnated as a noble in a fantasy world with an objective of improve and develop his land.
First off I have to say that this is an ELITE piece of isekai literature. You rarely see isekai stories of this caliber, infact I had to double check that this is considered an isekai story because it's so well executed. In a world where it feels like everyone and their grandma is trying their hand at making isekai/fantasy stories this one truly stands out as a gem among stones.
(Now onto the actual review lol)
The art: I have to say that the art is great, because I've personally spent a lot of time reading all sort of stories and viewing all kinds of artworks I tend to forget just how much effort and just how good the art of these stories can actually be and this one is no exception, the main strength of the art is its unserious and silly nature nature, the artist makes you of overexagerated features for the mc and other characters throughout the story, but at the same also able to capture more serious moments aesthetically from a heartwarming scene to art of landscapes and building and even high intensity fight scenes the art stays consistently high quality, it may not be the most aesthetic art to look at technically (if you wanted you could compare it something crazy like one punch man) but it has a charm that keeps you invested and interested to see just what next you're going to look at.
The characters: the cast in this story is immense, there are so many characters major and minor that I couldn't tell you off the top of my head, from demons, angels, and humans to orcs, dragon, elves, centaurs, mermaids, magical animals ect the cast is wide and versatile and also they all have personalities. I'm not sure how the creators managed to give every single characters we meet some sort of a personality but they did it, every character feels unique and different and we can see it through their interactions with the mc and with eachother. All the characters are referenced and circled back to throughout the story, the same characters you meet in the first 20chs will be remembered in some way or another. It just gives so much depth to the story, even if the cast may not always be the forefront of the story they add so much to it in their own ways.
