i dont think you have a point here because many of the ones you listed are old but most of the isekais now are modern"ish" meaning they had the chance to develope the setting to more than it was, thats what for example the new batman movie did or new somewhat comics do and yes, the vending machine isekai is ridiculous but its just a gimmick which will in itself be funny for the first few moments and just more on the isekai hype train than actaully engaging in it (i obv havent read it) and secondly just because their asian doesnt exclude them from altering the story in their favoure and also many authors nowaday especially korean know that their target audience is international and not just within their country. And to your first point, the slice of life example doesnt add anything to your argument because its anither genre and has a different reader audience and i do believe that mist isekais still thrive on saving people and being a hero amd there is also a clear difference between a "normal" hero story and the current isekai story tropes

yes, that is true considering the look of an ethnic groupe (here korean) but what i was more leaning into was that there is a character who does not do well in his own society and then happens to be in a new society and using his deus-ex-machina-like knowledge or knowhow to help or reign over this new society, making him lead in someway or another. there is no real redeeming virture and i dont mean this analogy in a racist way more so in a sociological sense thats why the bitter taste at the end. this is merely an observation and not an allegation because i dont think the author is racist
